Beautiful and evocative black and white cinematography brings to life a grim and frightening modern day fairy tale like quest for the innocence of childhood to find comfort and safety in a cruel and dark world.
[cries] this reminds me that I lent my Night of the Hunter DVD to a so-called “friend” and it came back scratched and no longer plays. Such an incredible film.
